Training for Effective Meetings Introduction

Facilitating, toolbox meetings, stand up meetings, setting agenda and objectives.

Have you been to a meeting lately that seemed to take forever, drifted off the original objectives and agenda, and left you none the wiser of what was really achieved?

Why productive meetings are important to your employees and business.

Meetings are too often treated as regular events that just happen, consuming valuable resources and energy. The converse is a Lean Meeting that has a clear and concise objective, a set agenda and set timeframe.

We provide training online and face to face for effective meetings.

The training covers aspects of effective meetings such as:

  • Planning
  • Setting the agenda, objectives and rules from the onset of the meeting
  • Establishing the acceptable conduct code, covering one item at a time, one person speaking at a time and staying focused on objectives and the agenda
  • Closing meetings by revisiting decisions made, action items and expectations, next meeting agenda items
  • Follow up, distribution and files of minutes, progress of action items and objectives of next meeting

There are many different types of meetings used in Lean Principles, from daily stand up meetings with relatively fixed agendas, cross functional project teams to management meetings. The training we provide is practical and covers each type of meeting that the student is likely to be facilitating or participating in.

Contact us for more information, or register to be part of the next training to improve the effectiveness of your meetings.
