Risk Assessment Training Overview
FMEA, Kaizen OH&S, Kaizen Risk Assessment & Audit, System Development, Performance measurement, A3 Reporting, Corrective Action.
Risk assessment is a step in the risk management process.
The risk assessment process is the determination of each element of risk, the ranking relating to the likelihood of occurrence and potential loss from an identified threat or hazard.
The training is designed to assist students in identifying hazards, to quantify and qualify the adverse effects, to examine the current controls that are in place and assign a risk priority number to set the priorities for corrective actions and policy. Students are asked to conduct a risk assessment audit during the training as these assessments and audits are generally mandatory as part of an Occupational Health and Safety Act in each State Government legislative requirements.
Hazards and Risks are not the same thing as a Hazard has the potential to cause harm where a Risk is the likelihood of an injury, illness or even death as a result of a hazard.
Students entering the risk assessment course should first complete the FMEA course and also consider Problem Solving and Corrective Action – Root cause Analysis and the course in Standardised Work.
